Why we built it
Founders spend months cold-emailing investors who never asked to hear from them. Investors get pitched by everyone and so read nobody. Both sides are wasting the thing they have least of. The apps that fixed this in people's personal lives did it with one rule — the person being approached decides — and a design that shows one profile at a time and asks for a yes or a no. We borrowed the mechanics, kept the rule, and pointed it at funding.
Who is behind it
Find Investment is operated by Founder Capital LLP, a UK private markets investment firm founded and run by people who have built and still run accountancy, investment and technology businesses. The software is built by Chivvy Ltd, the UK software company behind Practice Portal, Growth Engine and the Acquisition Engine. Where a listing is one of Founder Capital's own vehicles, the listing says so. Investors on Find include private individuals and investment firms; each listing says who is behind it and who, if anyone, earns a fee on completion.
How we make money
Founders pay £29 a month while their listing is live, which includes the plan, deck and forecast tools. Investors join free. Where a raise completes, an introducer fee may be payable by the investor — disclosed on the listing.
