Who we are
Find Investment is operated by Founder Capital LLP (OC456336), 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ — the data controller. Contact: andy@foundercapital.co.uk.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone, organisation, role.
- Investor certification: the category you select, the statements you confirm, your signature, the time and IP address, and the outcome of our review.
- Listings and documents founders upload, including videos linked from third-party hosts.
- Interest, matches, messages and indications between users.
- Usage and device data needed to run and secure the service.
Why we use it
- To provide the service and match founders with investors (contract).
- To check investor eligibility and keep records of financial-promotion compliance (legal obligation and legitimate interest).
- To email you about activity on your account and, if you opt in, about new opportunities (contract / consent).
- To prevent fraud and misuse (legitimate interest).
Who sees it
Founders see the interest and certification status of investors who express interest in them, and nothing about investors who pass. Investors see listings approved for promotion. Founder Capital staff can see all activity, including conversations, as operator. The authorised approver of a promotion may see listings and approvals. Processors: Supabase (database and storage, London), Netlify (hosting), Brevo (email), Google (fonts). We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Certifications and approval records are kept for six years after expiry, as financial-promotion records. Accounts, listings and messages are kept while the account is active and for twelve months after closure unless a longer period is required by law.
